How to cite other, miscellaneous sources in CSE.

Occasionally, you’ll use a source that doesn’t fall into a convenient category. Carmun calls these “Other.” Lumped into this “we don’t know what else to call it” group, you might put unpublished letters, dissertations, or theses; court and other public documents; papers delivered at a meeting; and so on. With Other, you’ll need the standard stuff or whatever you can get.

Don’t panic if you can’t find some of the nonpublication facts. You’ve always got your friends, n.p. and n.d. to bail you out.

A very scintillating-sounding paper that appeared in an unpublished dissertation abstract reads like this as a CSE citation.

Crenshaw MB. "Evaluation of lunch menus planned by childcare facilities participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program." Masters Abstracts International, 42. 1647.

It’s great that you know how to cite CSE sources. No need to ever compose one yourself. Let carmun do it.
