Footnoter for Windows Setup

To install Footnoter, you will need to download the installer, run it and then start the application from either your desktop or your start menu. Detailed instructions with screenshots are below to help you through the process:

Step 1 - Downloading Footnoter
The first step is to download the installation file for Footnoter. There are two versions of Footnoter for Windows. One is for computers with Microsoft's .NET framework v1.1 installed (download here) and the other is for computers that don't have version 1.1 of Microsoft's .NET framework (download here). If you are unsure of whether or not you have .NET Framework v1.1, download the latter version. Depending on your browser, you may see a prompt similar to the one below:

Click on 'Run' or 'Open' and wait until it downloads. Once the download is complete, depending on your version of Windows, you may see a warning dialog as shown below. Click on 'Run' if you see it:

Step 2 - Installing Footnoter
Installing Footnoter is simple. All you have to do is click the 'Install' button and everything will be taken care of automatically.

Step 3 - Starting Footnoter
You will notice that there is a new icon on your desktop. You can double-click this icon any time to start Footnoter. There will also be an entry in your Start Menu's 'Programs' folder called 'carmun - Footnoter' with the same shortcut.
